Thank You, Girls On The Run: Wow, thanks to our Clark community these girls raised over $150 for our Clark school playground and made over 120 cards for Bethesda residents. They also all just completed a 5k, that's right, 3.1 miles, this past Saturday. The girls were grateful to see so many cheering faces, especially special guest, Dr. Hays at the 2 mile mark! Special thanks to the amazing coaches and parents who supported these girls these past 12 weeks and on race day. Especially coaches Lozano, Toppins, Chibnall, and Joy. Girls on the run, is so much fun!

Showing Our Thanks: PTO Fundraisers and More

Scholastic Book Fair: Thank you for everyone's support in making this year's book fair a big success. We had over $10,000 in sales, and will be receiving a little over $5,100 in Scholastic Dollars in return! By choosing to take our proceeds from Scholastic in “Scholastic Dollars,” we are able to receive 50% of the total sales of the book fair. Scholastic Dollars can be used to purchase a variety of things including books of course, but also classroom items, furniture, technology, curriculum materials, and more. So $5,000 can go a long way to keep our library and classrooms current.

If you have any questions or ideas for future Book Fairs, please reach out to Katie Heitgerd at katiehufford@gmail.com or Emily Odum at emmaodum@gmail.com.

    Book Fair Thank You

Birthday Book Club: The Clark PTO sponsors a Birthday Book Club that allows you to donate a book to our library in celebration of a birthday or other special event in your child's life. During the month of your child's birthday you will receive an email with a link to an online order form. Feel to order a book anytime by using this link. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Heitgerd at katiehufford@gmail.com.

Pie The Principal: Well, well, well. Those Clark 5th Graders sure know how to fundraise, and they blew past their goal of $1,500 raising over $1,950! There were cheers and there may have been a few tears of defeat by a certain principal who was oh so confident in his beautiful black tie suit. Better luck next time, Dr. Hays! Special thanks to the 5th Grade Events Committee, everyone who donated, and of course, our amazing staff who fearlessly got a little pie in their face. More photos coming soon!

Stay Connected to Everything Happening at Clark

The Clark PTO strives to inform parents of all that is happening at Clark. Our PTO Facebook page, PTO website and Eagle Eye newsletter are the main channels of communication. Please notify the front office if you do not have a phone or computer with which to check these outlets.

There are many ways information is shared about Clark and the Clark PTO. If you haven't been receiving communications, it might be a good time to review your Parent Square settings to ensure you get all the important information going forward. We put together this Clark Eagles - Stay Connected flyer to help ensure you know what's happening at Clark.

Have an announcement for the Eagle Eye?

If you have an announcement that needs to be included in the Eagle Eye, please complete and submit the Eagle Eye Submission form by 10:00 pm on the Saturday prior to the week's posting.
