What's new?

  • 11/2/2023 -

Webster Groves School District is dedicated to providing the best learning environment for our students. We're excited to share some important updates regarding the progress of Prop S, a vital initiative to improve our school facilities and safety measures.

    1. Boilers: Heating and Redundancy

All boiler work has been successfully completed. This not only ensures better heating efficiency but also enhances the redundancy of our heating systems, guaranteeing a comfortable learning environment for all.

    2. Rooftop Renovations

Bid packages for rooftop renovations at Ambrose, Givens, the Administration Building, and the Service Center are currently in their final stages. These renovations are set to provide structural improvements that will benefit our schools for years to come.

    3. Door Replacements

We're taking action to enhance security and accessibility by approving the bid package for door replacements at Clark, Edgar, Givens, and Ambrose schools. A total of 165 doors are scheduled for replacement, ensuring a safer and more secure environment.

    4. High School Auditorium Renovations

Over the summer, we plan for extensive work on the high school auditorium.

    5. District-Wide Safety and Security Upgrades

Safety is a top priority. We are committed to upgrading district-wide safety and security systems, encompassing fire alarm and security alarm systems. This initiative will further safeguard our schools and the well-being of our students and staff.

    6. Impact-Resistant Film

We're investing in safety measures by installing impact-resistant film throughout our schools. The majority of this film will be applied at Hixson, providing an added layer of protection for our students and buildings.

    7. ADA-Compliant Sidewalk Access

Ensuring accessibility for all is essential. We're addressing ADA-compliant sidewalk access from the lower playground at Givens, with plans set for next summer.
