• 1) Q When is the library open?
      A

    The library is open everyday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

    2) Q How many books may be checked out at one time?
      A
    Kindergarten and 1st grade  students may check out one book at a time.
     2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade and 5th  grade students may check out two books at a time.
    3) Q How long may I keep a book?
      A
    Students may check out books for one week at a time. If you are not finished after one week, you may renew the book as many times as you want, as long as there are no holds on the item.
    4) Q Do I have to pay a fine for overdue books?
      A
    No, we do not charge fines for overdue books. However, if the book is lost or damaged, you must pay the replacement cost of the book. See Mrs. Wright or Mrs. Taylor for the replacement or damage costs.
    5) Q Does the library have a weekly schedule?
      A
    Yes, each class visits the library once a week during a scheduled 55 minute block.  Each week I will read a book to the class and teach a lesson on a particular library skill.  The students will do a short activity and then check out a book.
    6) Q When can individual students visit the library?
      A
    Students may visit the library at any time the library is open, with permission from their teacher. Students can return library books when they are finished with them and check out new ones when the library is open and Mrs. Taylor or I am in the library.
    7) Q Do students learn any computer/technology skills?
      A
     All students will learn ethical use of technology and computer literacy skills.
