Thank you for allowing me to teach your child every day! This is my 12th year teaching. This will be my 9th year at Avery. I feel very lucky to be here!

I believe that every student will learn and grow academically and personally.  It is my job to facilitate their growth by providing experiences that spark their interest and allow them to take charge of their own learning.  We will be learning in a variety of ways, whole group, individually, and in small learning groups. I try to spend a lot of my day teaching in small groups so that I can differentiate based on each child’s needs.  I have a high emphasis on engagement while learning. I will expect the students to be able to learn individually or in pairs while I am meeting in groups.
