Mrs. Mebbie Landsness

I love science and traveling!

I have two beautiful, intelligent, spunky, budding scientists at home who love to travel with us. This summer my husband and I traveled to London and Ghana with our two daughters (ages 8 and 2) to visit my sister-in-law and brother (respectively). It was beautiful! I have been to 6 of the 7 continents and plan to continue to travel as often as possible.

I have taught in Seattle, WA, Madison, WI, and now Missouri as we have moved with my husband's job but we are happy to finally be settling down in St. Louis. Both my masters and undergraduate degrees were from the University of Washington in Seattle specializing in chemistry and biochemistry with masters work in biophysical chemistry. I have taught in classrooms from 3rd grade through college in both math and science and decided that I really love the high school level, students, and science curriculum.

I am currently teaching advanced chemistry and forensics. Both are loves of mine - the excitement of chemistry and exploring atoms and all things small and reactive as well as forensics as the application and merging of different sciences.

I can't wait to work with you this year as we deepen our love of science!
