Q: What do I need for class?
A: Something to write with, something to write on, a scientific or graphing calculator, and a positive mental attitude!
Q: Do you have tutoring hours?
A: Yes! Before school from 7:30 to 7:50 am and after school from 2:45 to 3:00 pm (oftentimes I am available past 3pm but it would be nice for you to check in with me about my availability.)
Q: Do you offer extra credit?
A: Some - I believe in learning the material well enough and trying your best to earn the 'regular' credit that is available through homework, quizzes, and tests. Occasionally, there are extra credit problems on tests and quizzes.
Q: How are your grades determined?
A: In Honors geometry, your grade is calculated by points - you can determine your grade by dividing the points you have earned by all points you could have earned. In Algebra 1, your grade is calculated by percentage not by points. The breakdown is 20% HW and 80% quizzes & tests. I try to grade your work and update the SIS portal as quickly as possible so you have the best idea of what your current grade truly is.
