Ms. Kendall Olsen

Hi! My name is Ms. Kendall Olsen and I'm the Library Media Specialist at the Givens Library and Launch Lab. I have been a teacher/librarian in the Webster Groves School District since 2002. Before I became a Library Media Specialist, I was a classroom teacher for ten years in the areas of non-departmentalized sixth grade, ELA and social studies.

Throughout the years, I have participated in many professional and personal development opportunities. Highlights include WGSD's social justice cohort program through Educational Equity Consultants (2006), eMints Certification (2008) and Witnessing Whiteness training through the YWCA (2018). Workshops attended include STEAM V with HEC TV, Design Thinking through Connected ED, National Youth Service Learning Conference, the Midwest Educational Technology Conference, the Missouri Association of School Librarians Conference, Code.Org, Connected Ed's Raspberry Pi Academy, PBL Training through the Buck Institute for Education and Teaching Tolerance. Additionally, I am currently in school studying clinical mental health counseling.
