Ms. Kendall Olsen

Hi! My name is Ms. Kendall Olsen and I'm the Library Media Specialist at the Steger-Givens Library Launch Lab. This is my 21st year in education and 2018 marks my 17th year in the Webster Groves School District. Before I became a Library Media Specialist, I was a classroom teacher for ten years in the areas of non-departmentalized sixth grade, ELA and social studies. My son is currently a student in the Webster Groves School District. Go Statesmen!

Additionally, I have participated in WGSD's social justice cohort program through Educational Equity Consultants (2006), eMints Certification (2008) and Witnessing Whiteness training through the YWCA (2018). Workshops attended in 2017-2018 include STEAM V with HEC TV, Design Thinking through Connected ED, National Youth Service Learning Conference, Midwest Educational Technology Conference, Code.Org, Connected Ed's Raspberry Pi Academy, PBL Training through the Buck Institute for Education and Teaching Tolerance. I'm also the co-sponsor of the Steger Book Battle Club for the STL Area Wide Middle School Book Battle. Additionally, I am a volunteer facilitator for Witnessing Whiteness cohorts for adults in STL through the YWCA.
