Mrs. Elizabeth Steckman

Hello and welcome to my classroom! This will be my eighth year teaching high school mathematics, and I am really excited to be continuing my journey as an educator at WGHS! This year, I will be teaching Honors Pre-Calculus and Algebra 1. I grew up in Wausua, Wisconsin, where I learned to love math, music and the outdoors. I spent my summers fishing with my grandma, baking cookies with cousins, and making music with friends. I have been playing French horn for nearly 20 years, and always enjoy the chance to play with local ensembles. I also jump at the chance to travel the world, most notably playing concerts in Japan, recording a CD in Namibia, hiking a volcano in Nicaragua, white water rafting on the Nile River, and spending a year as a math teacher in rural Tanzania.

When I am not teaching, you can find me doing math homework or taking long walks with my spunky dog Teley.
