    Here's the scoop....

Can I walk my child into the building the first day of school & where do we drop off?
Staff will be out front to greet you starting at 8:05am.  The children need to arrive between 8:05am-8:15am.  We ask that you say your goodbyes at the front door andlet us get our day started in the classroom together.

What are the end-of-day dismissal procedures?
Students who go to Adventure Club will be dismissed to AC.  If you plan to pick up your child after school you can pick them up in the Atrium or you can join the carpool line in the front circle drive.  Dismissal announcements begin at 2:55pm--dismissing bus riders, AC students, car riders, & walkers.  a named anchorI do ask that you be patient the first few weeks of school until I learn new faces & pick-up plans!

    How does lunch work?
Your child may bring a lunch from home or purchase a school lunch from the cafeteria.  Each day the lunch choices for that day will be on our lunch board & the students will sign-up for their choice.  If your child brings a lunch from home & needs a drink, a milk or juice can be purchased.  The students will be taken to the cafeteria for lunch.  There are several staff members present to help children during the lunch period.  Students go to recess after lunch each day.

Pin Numbers:  Each child is assigned a pin number when they are registered & entered into the district's system.  These pin numbers will be sent home with the children at the beginning of the year (adults will help them until they are able to memorize it).  If your child purchases any items from the cafeteria they will enter this pin number into a keypad in the cafeteria.  You can send daily, weekly, or monthly payments that will be added to your child's account.  Then each time your child makes a purchase it will be deducted from his/her account.  Some parents prefer to send daily payments until their child is more comfortable with the process & some like to send a large payment that will be credited to the account.

Can I send treats for my child's birthday?
Treats are typically allowed, however considerations for friends with allergies are always a priority.  Please contact me about specific arrangements for your child's birthday.

What do we do with supplies if we can't come to Meet the Teacher?
You can send supplies with your child on the first day of school.  Please note that we share our supplies so names are not necessary on all items.  The two things that DO need your CHILD'S NAME are his/her backpack & lunchbox.
