• Homework:  Students will have nightly homework M-Th. beginning the second week of school. The purpose of the homework is to encourage responsibility and independence. The homework will be short and should only take 5-10 minutes.  The homework will also serve as a school to home connection.

    Reading: Please read with your child 15 minutes every night.  Daily reading is critical for developing fluency and vocabulary.  It is important you continue to read to them and that they read their guided reading books to you. Students who complete the monthly reading log and meet the class goal will receive a prize. 

    Math: Family letters for each unit are on my website under the parent tab.  These letters introduce each unit and give good tips and ideas for activities to do with your child.
