    WGSD Family-School Relationships Survey

    Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, families, students, staff, and schools all play important roles in this process. To help all of us learn how to make your child’s school experience as positive and beneficial as possible, please give us your honest, thoughtful responses to the questions below. Your responses will be completely anonymous. If a question does not apply to you or you do not want to respond, then you may skip to the next question. If you have multiple children in our school, please complete one survey for each child.

    WGSD Board Candidate Forum Tomorrow, March 30th at Hixson Middle School

    Clark PTO encourages families to learn more about this year's Board of Education Candidates. The League of Women Voters will be sponsoring a forum for candidates running for the Webster Groves School District Board of Education. The candidates in order of how they will appear on the ballot are:

    Justin Hauke
    Tara Scheer
    Jo Doll
    Courtney Schaefer
    Grace Lee

    Equity Event Invitation, Thursday, April 6th

    Hello Clark Equity Cooperative former, current, & future participants! Below is an invitation from the Hixon Equity Cooperative:
     
    As you know, this semester we're fostering opportunities to dig deeper into multiple perspectives of our American past as we explore historical knowledge that can build complexity and nuance into our understanding of current issues.
     
    On Thursday, April 6 at 6:30pm, please join the Hixson Equity Cooperative for an evening to view portions of the 1619 Project (currently airing on Hulu) and to have some related guided discussion. We will gather in the meeting room of the Webster Groves Public Library at 301 E. Lockwood Ave. April 6, from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Light refreshments will be served. You absolutely don't have to watch it prior to coming; we'll show clips and have related discussion prompts.
     
    Please join us to build a strong, loving community as we endeavor to know better to do better.

    Join Us April 15th at 5pm for Family Movie Night

    Puss in Boots Family Movie Night

    After a two year absence the PTO Family Movie Night is back! Come to the Clark Gymnasium on Saturday, April 15th as we show Puss in Boots - The Last Wish! Doors open at 5pm, the show starts a 5:30pm. This is a FREE event courtesy of the Clark PTO.

    Bring your own dinner and beverages (no alcoholic beverages please). Consider brining your refillable water bottle to fill at our water bottle filling station. Indulge in FREE CANDY and FREE freshly popped Ella & Ollie popcorn!

    Also, bring whatever you need to be comfy… blankets, pillows, bean bags, etc. Folding chairs are welcome but please sit in the back to not block the view of others. No air mattresses please.

    There will be door prizes and giveaways including:

    • 2 Family Gift Baskets - 2 adult t shirts, 2 youth t shirts, Cookies from Webster Groves Vanilla Bean, fitness watch, keychain, stickers, candy/popcorn filler
    • 3 Kid Baskets - Wooden bank with PNB sticker, youth t shirt, key chain, stickers
    • 5 Swag Prizes - Keychain and stickers
    • Pick a school-wide theme day
    • Pick a hat day and hat for Dr. Hays
    • Picture/Joke/Riddle on hallway screen

    • Lunch with Mrs. Boyer
    • Lunch with Mrs. Pribish
    • Lunch with Dr. Hays

    You won't want to miss it! Join us on April 15th at 5pm in the Clark Gymnasium!

    No beverages will be available for purchase. If you need help with transportation, contact school counselor Mrs. Starbuck.

    5th Grade Art Show, May 4th

    Mark your calendars for the district wide 5th Grade Art Show! It will be Thursday, May 4th from 6-8 PM at Hixson Middle School. It is an open house style event that will takes place in the hallways outside of the cafeteria. Any questions? Send Mrs. Boyer an email at boyer.paige@wgmail.org .
