Homework is always to read for 20 minutes, and in addition to a reading a math, reading comprehension, word study or writing assignment that may be assigned as well. At times it will be to bring in a sticky note, noting something in the nightly reading that has been introduced in class. At times it will be to review your child's writing, so that when it is time to publish a piece, you have seen some of the writing process. There may be math SAB (Student Activity Book) pages, or other math work, and finally, some nights will be word work.
