What is Adventure Club?

  • Adventure Club provides a safe space for children and their friends to dream, organize, interact, and actualize their interests, play with their friends, and learn about new things. Adventure Club is a fee-based program providing services before and after school for children in kindergarten-6th grade between the hours of 7:00 AM-start of school and end of school-6:00 PM; Monday-Friday. Steger and Givens do not offer care in the morning. Programming is available for an additional fee during most early release days/professional development days and most of the summer. There is a limited number of spaces at each school based on best practices and feasibility, so applying early is advised.

Adventure Club believes that we are all active learners. That is why Adventure Club offers student-led learning, homework club, outdoor and/or gym times. Adventure Club also offers your child a snack during the afternoon. Adventure Club activities are facilitated in a free-flowing environment that affords many choices during the afternoon.

Adventure Club has been in operation inthe Webster Groves School District since 1983 and is a nationally-recognized school-age care program. Adventure Club was the first school-age, school-operated child care program in Missouri. Adventure Club is primarily a self-supporting program that presently serves 500 children at all elementary schools in the Webster Groves School District.
