• Supporting Clark Staff and Administration

    Copy Committee: This fun committee assists Clark's teachers by making daily copies and performing other tasks.

    Landscape Committee: Parents and students take part in keeping the Clark School grounds beautiful by planting, weeding and watering.

    Room Parents: Parents work with their child's teacher to provide treats, drinks and activities during holiday parties. They also take pictures over the course of the year to submit to the Yearbook. The PTO funds classroom parties!

    Staff Appreciation: Our wonderful teachers can always use a little TLC. This committee provides treats for our teachers and staff throughout the year. The PTO funds staff appreciation!

    Building School Pride and Community

    Back To School Bash: The back to school bash, located on Clark's playground, is a great way to celebrate the start of an awesome school year! Typical activities include food trucks and the Bubble Bus.

    Chess Club: Clark's Chess Club provides parent-led instruction and supervision for free play. Beginning players will receive instruction to learn how the pieces move and beginning strategy. For the more advanced players there will be free play, which includes a ladder competition. Trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

    Equity Committee: This parent-led group believes growing ourselves and our community is a necessary step towards ensuring all Clark students and families have what they need to feel valued and be an integral part of our school community. We believe that this effort enriches the lives of all Clark students. During our meetings we strive to thnk deeply about the systems, structures, and practices currently in place and how we might improve those to create a community that emanates awareness, inclusiveness, and equity for all.

    Library Book Club: The Library Book Club is a year-round program that provides a great way to keep our library growing with books contributed in honor of a student's birthday or any other significant occasion.

    Clark Cares: This committee was formed to help Clark families when unexpected hardships arise. Committee members organize to help families with whatever needs they have to make life a little easier, such as meal preparation, running errands, transportation/carpool, babysitting or other household needs.

    After School Enrichment: These after school classes are available to all students and are held one day a week on four consecutive Wednesdays in February.

    Father's Flag Football Game: The flag football game is a chance for Clark dads to get to know each other better by deploying strategy to advance the ball against other Clark dads. The game is usually on a Sunday afternoon sometime in October or November.

    Fifth Grade Events: Fifth Grade is a very special year! PTO helps to make it even more special by planning a graduation reception, helping to raise money for 5th grade camp, and a class gift.

    Ice Skating Party: This party is held at the Webster ice skating rink and brings the Clark Community together to skate and socialize.

    Read, Right & Run: Join Clark's Read, Right, & Run Team for an amazing program that challenges kiddos to READ 26 books, RIGHT the community with 26 good deeds, and RUN 26.2 miles over a six-month period. Team Practices are held every 3rd Friday of the month and every 2nd Saturday starting in October. The big race will be held in April in Forest Park as part of the GO! Marathon event.

    Family Movie Night: The Clark movie night is a fun event for the entire family! Bring your blankets, cushions, bean bags and folding chairs to the Clark gym to enjoy a family-friendly movie. Many fun attendance prizes are awarded throughout the night. Your favorite movie snacks are provided by the Clark PTO free of charge!

    Trunk or Treat: Kids can dress up and celebrate Halloween in a fun and safe environment. Held in the Clark parking lot, families host a parking spot and then kids can "trick or treat" from trunk to trunk.

    Welcome Committee: This committee hosts Kindergarten Get Togethers, delivers yard signs to incoming kindergarten students, and hosts the first-day parents breakfast - all to help families new to Clark feel welcomed and help them get acclimated to the school and the Webster Groves community.

    Communication

    Buzz Book: The Buzz Book is an online tool that includes parent and staff contact information, as well as classroom listings of students.

    Yearbook: This special memento for Clark students is for sale at the end of the year with school pictures and candid photos taken throughout the year.
