Back to School Bash is HERE! The Givens Elementary PTO is delighted to invite the entire Givens Community to the annual Back to School Bash event to celebrate the beginning of another great school year at Givens!
This is a free event for all community members featuring music, carnival-style games, prizes, face painting, and a ton of great groups from around our community including; the Webster Groves Library, Rock Hill Fire Department (and truck!), Webster Groves Green Space Committee, Missouri Stream Team, Century Oaks Project, Boyscout Troop representatives, Rock Hill PD, Givens PTO & Gap Equity group and more!
The Hacienda Food Truck will also be on site for self-pay dinner options, or families are also welcome to bring a picnic of their choice, if you would prefer. The PTO will also be treating all students and siblings to a cold treat from the Ice Cream truck as well as cold water. Be sure to check in at the Welcome Table to register and grab your ice cream tickets!
We're looking forward to a fun night! Don't miss it!
Our annual fall fundraiser is right around the corner! Wolf-A-Thon is one of two annual fundraisers held by the PTO. Funds from Wolf-A-Thon are used to support PTO hosted community events, fund staff requests, pay for field trip buses, playground equipment, and more!
Wolf-A-Thon will be held the week of November 6th, and we will be asking the whole school to get involved with two of our favorite things; Reading & Physical Activity!
This year, our goal is to raise $4,500, as a school, to support PTO efforts in the coming year. Students will seek sponsorship from friends, family, and community members. Sponsors can donate for each book read/lap walked or a flat donation amount. Donating is not required to participate in all the fun of Wolf-A-Thon week.
Howl At The Moon: As part of Wolf-A-Thon week this year, PTO will be hosting a fun community event as part of Wolf-A-Thon to let all family members get involved! On Thursday, November 9th come up to school to Walk a "Chapter" at the obstacle course, hear stories and do crafts with Rock Hill Library, hear a Storytelling performance by Sherry Norfolk and meet Children's Author Jennifer Hobbs! Pre-Order a pizza and make it a night!
Students will keep track of all reading & physical activity the week of November 6th and then collect their pledged donations on November 10th. Reading/Activity logs (and donations, if applicable) can be submitted by Monday, November 13th. Each student that participates in logging activities (regardless of donation amount) will be entered in a drawing to help design the latest t-shirt on the School Spirit Wear store!
