1st State Basketball Champions 1995-96

March 10, 2016 was the twentieth anniversary of Webster Groves’s first state championship in basketball; this historical moment was celebrated on January 29th, 2016.  The 1996 Boys Basketball Team and 1996 Cheerleading Squad was welcomed back to WGHS basketball court in Roberts Gym. The alumnus basketball champs were honored during the half-time of the boys’ varsity game against St. Louis University High School.

#WGHistory  The 1995-96 Statesmen basketball team finished 29-3, having defeated CBC for the district title, Riverview Gardens in sectionals, Vashon in quarter finals, and Independence Truman in semi-finals and West Plains for the championship. #feelsgoodtobeaWGHSStatesmen
