Clark School was established in 1948. The school is named after Anna M. Clark who taught in the district for 30 years. Much has changed since 1948 but what hasn’t changed at Clark is the staff’s desire to continuously seek improvement for the sake of all students.

This year, the faculty will focus our professional development in two different areas: equity in education and social-emotional learning (SEL). We are aware that individual biases and systemically entrenched “isms” get in the way of teaching and learning. With the help of the Anti-Defamation League we will work to understand how we can better serve all our students. We are also aware of the importance of social-emotional learning. With the help of the University of Missouri’s School of Education we will implement SEL in our classrooms. We’re hoping that our professional development will lead to real change in classrooms so that all of our students have what they need to thrive and grow.

The staff at Clark feels fortunate to partner with amazing families who are supportive in all we do. The PTO works tirelessly at providing staff and students everything needed to achieve our district’s mission: the academic and personal success of every student.
