You’ve probably heard of the Parent Teacher Organization, but did you ever wonder what the PTO does other than have meetings? We’d LOVE to see you at PTO meetings, but we offer so much more than that every month.
Our primary goal is to build community and school pride through school wide events and enrichment activities and secondly to raise funds to carry out these events and to assist the school with funds for field trips, needed capital improvements, equipment and/or technology to make our children’s educational experience top-rate.
We are organized into committees of hard-working volunteers and led by an Executive Board. Our committees are the heart and soul of the PTO and spearhead a wide variety of activities with the goal of making Clark an exceptionally creative and supportive learning community. Some committees are formed to plan community events, which we hope all our families and staff will attend for fun and friendship. There are also committees focused on organizing successful fundraisers, which directly meet some of the needs of Clark School. The needs vary from year to year, but we have been able to meet smaller requests from teachers for class materials, as well as make more costly purchases including new technology. Other committees make it their goal to improve or support a specific activity at Clark School. The breadth of this supportive activity is dwarfed only by the depth of commitment from the PTO to help make Clark a wonderful community of learners!
Everything the PTO does is possible because the parents and staff at Clark volunteer their time and talent to make it happen. We sincerely hope you will find the time to volunteer to help make Clark a wonderful community of learners!
