Addition Compare

You need

• Deck of cards - red cards are negative, black cards are positive

Play with a Partner.

1. Start with the deck of cards in the middle of both players.
2. Each player turns over 2 cards.
3. Both players find the sum of the 2 cards.
4. The player with the larger sum says, “Me!” and takes all 4 cards.
5. If both players have the same sum, turn over 2 more cards. The player with the larger sum takes all the cards.
6. The game is over when there are no more cards in the deck.
7. The player with the most cards at the end of the game wins!

Variations

• Play with 3 players.
• Play Triple Addition Compare, each player turns over 3 cards.
