Reunion Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Reunion Planning

Who can plan a Reunion?
Reunions are often coordinated by a classmate(s) who are interested in facilitating the event. A reunion committee is then created, composed of classmates who would like to participate in planning the reunion events.

How do I know if a reunion is being planned?
All reunion and alumni event planning is initiated by alumni, the WGSD Communication Department is here to assist in helping find your classmates. If your class is planning a reunion, a class rep will obtain a current contact list from the WGSD Communication Department and will reach out to classmates about their reunion. All Webster Groves High School reunions are listed on our website. Please visit WGHS Class Reunion page.

How do reunion chairs continue to stay connected to classmate?

Statesmen can stay connected by updating their contact information. Updated lists can be sent directly to the reunion chair(s). Please update your information here.

How can I contact classmates for the reunion?
Reunion Chair(s) may request a class contact list (Excel format) by filling out the Class Reunion Information Form. Reunion Chair(s) agree to share the contact list only with other classmates on the reunion committee and use contact information only for the purpose of communicating reunion details. Reunion Chair(s) also agree not to re-publish a contact list in any form (website, social media, etc.) or distribute it via email or hard copy to the rest of the class.

Are reunions provided with funds to help pay for the event?

Funds are not provided to help pay for reunions.

How should the reunion class handle money?

The reunion chair(s) may decide to set up a checking account in the class name and add reunion committee members to the account. Another option may be to set up a paypal or venmo account to accept credit or debit cards as a form of payment for the reunion activities.

What are some venues that past reunion classes have used to host events?

There are many wonderful establishments in the Greater St. Louis area that would be suitable to host a high school reunion. Below we have listed a few that are close in proximity to the district and have been used in the past: Llywelyn’s Pub, The Clover & The Bee,  Olive + Oak, Big Sky Cafe, HWY 61 Road House, Cyranos, The Frisco, Robust Bistro & Wine Bar.

Can a tour of the high school be scheduled for our reunion festivities?

To simplify the planning process for our alumni we are now offering a WGHS Building Tour Schedule. During the fall season, tours will correspond with home football games at our "new" Moss Field on Friday nights. We hope that this will assist classes in the planning process and that reunion chairs can plan reunions around these dates.

Friday, September 19th @ 3:45 pm

How can classes give back to their alma mater?

Classes can give back by coordinating with classmates to give in honor of their class. Classes need to decide among themselves how to designate the donation and spread the word to fellow alumni. Donations may be made online by visiting Webster Groves School District Foundation or by checks payable to “WGSD Foundation,” mailed to 400 E. Lockwood Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119; simply include class gift information on the memo line. If you need assistance in planning your donation or deciding how to designate it, please contact wgalumni@alumni.org.
