Kindergarten Riders

  • If your student is in kindergarten then there must be a parent or guardian at the bus stop at the drop off time to collect your student.  Our driver will not let your kindergarten student off the bus without a parent or guardian present.  If a parent or guardian is not at the bus stop the student will be returned to their school.  If there are multiple times that a parent or guardian is not at the PM bus stop to collect their Kindergarten student on time, then that student will not be able to ride the bus any longer.

Hixson Middle School and WGHS Students

  • Free transportation will be provided to students who live 1.5 miles or more from school.
  • Students who live 1-1.49 miles from school will qualify for free transportation if they:
    • Receive free or reduced lunch, or
    • Participated in the paid ridership program during the 2024-2025 school year.
    • Students in the 1-1.49 mile range may be assigned to a bus stop located up to 1.5 miles from school.
  • Paid transportation will no longer be offered.
  • Priority for available seats will continue to be given to students who qualify for free/reduced lunch or distance from school.
  • These changes were approved by the Board of Education to take effect in the 2025-2026 school year. Families will receive information about registration for services the week of May 19.
