WINGS provides a supplementary program for the students who would benefit from opportunities in addition to those conducted in the regular self-contained classroom. WINGS is a district created level of service designed to meet the needs of high achieving students. It is not considered the state identified Gifted & Talented program. The program is designed to provide opportunities for students in grades 1-6 to pursue individual and/or small group activities. Higher order thinking skills are emphasized in an atmosphere that encourages the free and creative expression of ideas.

WINGS classes meet weekly at a time selected by the students' respective classroom teachers.

The goals of the WINGS program include:

To provide opportunities for talented students in grades 1–6 to pursue individual, independent work and/or small group activities.
To emphasize the higher order thinking skills: analysis, evaluation, and synthesis.
To provide an atmosphere that encourages free and creative expression of ideas.
