Today in math 8 students worked on finding an equation given two coordinate points. We worked in small groups, which helped them check their work for mistakes.

There is no HW, but a target check coming up.

We will have aunit test covering slope and linear equations on Tuesday!

Today in math 8 we talked about how to find the slope given two points using the slope formula. Students have HW tonight to practice this new concept.

Students will have a target check over counting slope on a graph, linear tables with slope, and the slope formula on Friday.

I am available any day before school for additional help.

Today in math 8 we discussed how to determine the number of solutions for an equation. Students took guided notes to help organize the 3 different solutions.

There is HW tonight, a color by number to practice this skill. We will also end class tomorrow with a target check.

I am staying after school this week on Tuesday.

Today in math 8 we did an error analysis activity. Students looked at a problem worked out and were asked to identify the mistake that was made. Once they identified the mistake they were asked to solve the problem correctly.

There are 5 problems for students to work on for HW and we have a target check tomorrow. The target check will cover solving equations with variables on both sides.

Today in math 7 we used probabilities to determine if the game of wheel of fortune is rigged or not. Students calculated the theoretical and experimental probability and compared them to determine if the game was rigged.

We will have our Learning target 2 formative on Thursday and I will be staying after school on Thursday.
