Instructional Strategies

VISUALS: Show it, don't just say it! Pictures, diagrams, and real objects help students make sense of new ideas.

SENTENCE FRAMES: Give students the building blocks for language! Sentence starters, stems, and frames help them speak and write confidently.

WAIT TIME: Pause after asking a question-students need time to think, process, and formulate responses in English. More wait = more voices!

TURN AND TALK: Partner discussions let students practice language and share ideas safely. Adding them into your lesson is a great way to reinforce vocabulary and check for comprehension!
