Referrals and testing of students not enrolled in the WGSD.
If your family resides within the Webster Groves School District, your child may be referred and evaluated for the academic gifted and/or gifted fine arts program. The state-approved evaluation process applies to all students, including those enrolled at a private/parochial school and/or home-schooled. The criteria (cognitive ability test, nationally normed achievement test, teacher rating scale, and creativity test) are required to complete the report and determine if services are warranted. If any of these components are not available, it may take longer to complete the report due to a district examiner or Gifted Coordinator needing to administer the missing assessment(s), gather additional documentation, or coordinate with the family and school to ensure all criteria are met
