Parent Information

Parents:

Research proves that students who read over the summer maintain or even improve their reading skills. In fact, students in grades three and up who read four or five books over the summer can prevent summer reading loss!

Talking and writing about books is also highly beneficial.  The WGSD Library Media Specialists have gathered a range of links to eBooks, online read alouds, and book trailers to engage your kids over the summer. Don't forget to check your local public libraries for opening updates.

Check out our local indie bookstore for curbside pick-up and eBook purchases

Please reach out to Mrs. Link, the WGSD Library Coordinator, if you have any issues with any of the resources we have provided for you!
