The State of Missouri requires all high school students to have four years of English credit in order to graduate, and the Webster Groves English Department offers a wide variety of courses to meet their needs. A complete listing can be found in the Course Description Book.
The Board-Approved English Curriculum can be found here.We emphasize a novel-based curriculum with a strong focus on writing and research skills. We offer both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition; in addition, students have the opportunity to earn dual credit through the University of Missouri - St. Louis in seven of our courses.
