Free Dental Clinic on July 15th and 16th

The Missouri Mission of Mercy (MOMOM) will be held July 15 & 16, 2022 at the Chaifetz Arena on SLU’s campus. This 100 chair dental clinic will provide cleanings, fillings and extractions for patients ages 5 and up who need dental care and cannot access it easily. We hope to treat 600 people each day. People are seen on a first come, first serve basis. No registration is required. You don’t have to be from Missouri. We will not ask for ID or proof of residence or employment. This is a gift to the community. All treatment is free and provided by licensed professional dentists. This clinic was last held in St Louis in 2014 and will not likely be held here again for the foreseeable future. It is a wonderful opportunity for people who suffer from tooth pain or who need basic dental services to improve their oral health. Learn more at https://www.modental.org/about-us/mda-foundation/missouri-mission-of-mercy.

    Reminder from Nurse Meagan

We appreciate the WHOLE Clark Elementary community coming together to help keep our school a safe and healthy learning environment. A few ways that parents and caregivers can help:

    • Students should stay home when they have signs of any infectious illness and be referred to their healthcare provider for testing and care. Please see the attached ‘Can my student come to school’ document for more guidance.

    • WGSD continues to not accept home negative tests.

    • Fully vaccinated students (2 weeks after second dose) do not need to quarantine after a COVID-19 exposure as long as they continue to be symptom free. Upon onset of any symptom, please keep your student home and obtain a COVID-19 test.

    • Spring is in the air!!!!! If your child is anything like me, spring allergy symptoms may be starting to pop up (sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, nose, throat, ears). Allergy symptoms need to be under control (minimized and student comfortable) while at school. This keeps everyone safe as allergy symptoms and COVID-19 symptoms are very similar. If a student has significant allergy symptoms and/or if I am not aware of them having seasonal allergies, then they will be sent home per our COVID guidelines. If allergy symptoms are uncontrolled, we ask that you please work with your student’s Pediatrician on a better allergy management plan. I like this site and this site for checking pollen counts and other allergy information.

    Spring Break Welcome Back!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    With much gratitude,

    Meagan Lozano, BSN, RN

    Get Social with Clark!

Did you know the Clark PTO uses many outlets to communicate with Clark families! In addition to the weekly Eagle Eye newsletter, the PTO has Facebook @ClarkSchoolPTO, Instagram @clark.eagles, and Twitter @ClarkPTO_WG pages. There is also a non-PTO informal Facebook group called "Clark Parents" where members can post, share, and discuss information. The PTO encourages you to give us a follow on our channels, or join the non-PTO group to stay up-to-date with Clark happenings!
