    Clark PTO 2020-2021 Proposed Budget

The Clark PTO is committed to the physical and educational well being of students and staff alike. There is much uncertainty as we plan our budget for the coming year. The proposed budget is very similar to 19-2020, and includes many items important to students, staff and parents alike. The PTO recognizes that 20-2021 fundraising may be stymied by social distancing, economic downturn, or other unforeseen circumstances. PTO members are in regular conversation with Clark staff, so that we can adjust to meet the needs of the Clark community in the coming school year.

    Parent Support Meetings

Please read this important announcement from Clark Counselor, Jenn Starbuck:

    Hi families,

As we all navigate remote learning from home together, I know you have questions about supporting your child socially, emotionally and behaviorally. I am hosting a weekly zoom just for Clark parents to ask questions about supporting your child at home. I will be on the weekly WEDNESDAYS 3:00-4:00 zoom for one hour and you can drop in at anytime to ask questions. If I don't know the answer, I will look into it and get back to you. When you join you may have other parents with similar questions so you may learn from each other. It is not the time to socialize but to learn from me and each other about ideas to support your child. This won't be considered a confidential setting, so just realize that what you say may be heard by other families.

You're doing a great job and I just want to offer one more layer of support for you.

    Jenn Starbuck

    Time:
    May 6, 2020 03:00 PM
    May 13, 2020 03:00 PM

Contact Mrs. Starbuck for Zoom meeting details.

    Nurse Updates

Note from Clark Elementary School Nurse Meagan:
It's never too early to get ready for next school year! Summer is a very busy time in doctor’s offices, so I encourage you to make that appointment NOW.

    Students with Food Allergies:
Students with a history of a severe allergic reaction and a diagnosis of a life-threatening allergy should have an Allergy Action Plan on file with the school nurse. This form is completed by the student’s physician annually and communicates the physician's orders for medical intervention specific to your child in the event of an allergic reaction.

    Students with Asthma:
Students who have asthma and need to use an inhaler or nebulizer at school should have an Asthma Action Plan on file with the school nurse. This form provides instructions for treatment at school in the event of an asthma attack or exacerbation of symptoms. This form needs to be completed by the student's physician annually.

Students who take Medication at School:
A Medication Administration Form must be completed by a parent/guardian for all medication administration. The student’s physician also needs to complete the form for any over-the-counter medications. Always bring medications in their original packaging/bottles (prescription medications must have pharmacy label affixed). The medication authorization form is attached or can be found on the district website.

    Current Immunization Records:
Current Immunization records are needed for all students who are new to the School District of Webster Groves, all students entering kindergarten, and all students entering eighth grade. Religious and Medical exemptions are allowed but the appropriate exemption card is needed from Physician or Public Health.

I appreciate your cooperation! Please email or call me if you have any questions!
