It's Healthy Kids Week at Bristol!

A note for Bristol Families from the Bristol PTO Wellness Committee:

Hello Bristol Families,

We had a lot of fun on the first day of Healthy Kids Week! Your kids will be coming home with a Healthy Kids Bingo Sheet as well as a Screen-Free Pledge form. If they turn in either by Friday at noon, they will be entered in a raffle to win cool prizes. If they turn in both, they will be entered into two raffles! If your child’s print-outs get lost in backpack mail, you can also find them attached to an email sent on 4/22.

UPDATE: Walk or Ride to School Day moved to Fri. 4/26! Arrive by 8:00 AM!

As a part of Healthy Kids Week, we will be encouraging the students to walk or ride their bike to school this Friday, April 26. Students who are able to arrive before 8:00 AM are to gather on the sidewalks outside of Walter Ambrose Family Center. Then promptly at 8:00 AM, we will cross the street (in the crosswalk at the corner of Cedar and Gray) together for the last few steps of the walk into school. Students who are gathered by 8:00 AM will receive a small, special reward donated to us by the Hub Bicycle Shop, so come to school early! The weather should be great! We look forward to seeing you there!

Get Caught Eating a Fruit of Veggie Day (Thurs):

If you are packing your child’s lunch this Thursday, please include a fruit or veggie that they enjoy. Parent volunteers will be handing out small prizes to students who are caught eating a fruit or veggies. Fruits and veggies are always offered with purchased school lunches as well.

Finally, if you think you would like to get in on the Healthy Kids Week fun, we could still use a few more recess volunteers later in the week. Please check out this link if you would like to join us:

Thanks a lot!
