WGSD: A message for all students returning to in person learning on 1/5
Dear WGSD Families,
We hope that each of you had a safe and healthy break.
For students returning to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 5, it’s critically important that families continue to follow these important health and safety guidelines for the health and safety of all:
Students must not come to school if:
- The student tested positive for COVID-19 over break and is presently in isolation and yet to be released by a physician
- The student is in quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19 over break and yet to be released by a physician
- The student is awaiting the results of COVID-19 testing
- Someone in the student’s householdhas COVID-19-related symptoms and is awaiting the result of testing
- The student has a fever (greater than 100.4) or hasn’t been fever-free for at least 24 hours, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, sore throat, headache, body aches, cough, difficulty breathing and/or loss of taste/smell.
Over extended breaks and weekends (including now), please continue to utilize the school nurse hotline (314-918-4693) to report COVID-19 related illnesses and exposures. During the school week, please contact the nurse at your child’s school.
Again, thanks for following these important health and safety guidelines in support of the well-being of our students, staff, families and community!
