Webster Groves School District and Webster Groves School District Foundation Sign Revised Memorandum of Understanding to Benefit Students, Faculty, and the Community

Last Thursday night, the Board of Education approved the District’s revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Webster Groves School District Foundation. In addition to continuing to support innovative learning for students, the Foundation will develop fundraising programs and opportunities where private support can assist in improving the educational environment for all. 

Among its other functions, the Foundation will:

• be the primary repository of private gifts made in support of the District, particularly gifts that exceed $1,000.
• be responsible for identifying and nurturing relationships with potential donors and other friends of the District.
• establish its gift-acceptance policies and provisions for the establishment of scholarships and other endowed purposes in collaboration with the District.

Webster Groves School District Superintendent Dr. John Simpson said, "We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Webster Groves School District Foundation to provide a world-class education for the current and future students of the Webster Groves School District. This MOU will help us stay more closely connected to everyone who supports the Webster Groves School District, so that together we can work to provide our students and staff with the best educational environment possible."
