From the Counselor
December 19,2018
This week, I will be meeting with the Kindergarten and First Graders to finish our topic on being Bucket Fillers. The big question for their circle will be
“What have you done to be a Bucket Filler to someone else?”

Second grade is continuing to talk about kind behaviors and kind responses. They are working really hard on transferring those kind behaviors and kind responses throughout their days at school.

The week we come back from Winter Break, I will be finishing up with third and fourth graders about creating Supportive Communities in their classroom and schools. We have been working on kindness and empathy and the students have been doing a great job!

Looking ahead, to the end of January and beginning of February, K-4 will have specific instruction in what is Mean, Rude or Bullying and how to handle each issue. More to come next month on how to help at home with talking with your child about Mean, Rude or Bullying behavior.

Thanks again for donating your gifts to our Giving Drive! We had over 8 boxes filled with items for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery - South county branch.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns about supporting your child’s social-emotional learning journey!
