Daffodil (Planting) Day!

Is this weather reminding you of spring? The Hudson PTO Beautification Committee invites all Hudson community families to Daffodil (Planting) Day at Hudson on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2-4p! Please bring garden trowels, gloves and/or a watering can, if you have any. More details and sign up here:

Hudson Dine Out

Let's eat some pizza to raise some dough for Hudson!  Dine in or carry out at the Webster Groves Dewey's Pizza on November 5th from 4pm - 10pm, and a portion of sales will benefit our PTO!  Be sure to present a paper or digital copy of the attached flyer before you check out with your server! 


Teacher Conference Meal Sign-up 

During Parent-Teacher Conferences we are providing meals to all teachers and staff. Meals will be on Monday, November 11th (taco bar) and Wednesday, November 13th (chili and soups). Please sign up to bring items. We will touch base when the date gets closer with drop off details.

Upcoming Opportunity

Families, please join us at Hixson on November 6 at 6pm for an event kicking off a community effort to crowd-source a children’s book about the incredible Black history of Webster Groves.  This event features a children's author help us learn how to be story sleuths in uncovering local history, community historians and experts, packets with everything you need to get you going, and a play area for our youngest attendees.  Then, you are invited to stay for a play written for young audiences based on Studs Terkel's bestseller, "Race."  The 30 minute play will be most engaging for upper elementary age and older.  We will provide snacks to help with dinner hour.


Box Tops:

We are still collecting box tops and are making a submission at the end of this month!  Send in your box tops to the office!  BUT... box tops is going digital!  See their website for more information.  Contact Meagan Wade ( with questions.

The 2019-2020 Buzz Book is complete and can be accessed HERE . Save the link (not the document) as information may be updated throughout the year. 


Book Fair – Save the Date and Volunteer:

Our Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon and we will transform the Hudson Library into our very own book store. There you will find hundreds of books from new and favorite authors, popular series, cool posters and school supplies, and fun for everyone. The best part… Proceeds from the fair go directly back to Hudson’s classrooms!  The Scholastic Book Fair will be here during parent-teacher conferences from November 11th to November 13th.  PTO is soliciting parent volunteers to make this event a success.  If you can help in any way, please signup here:



The PTO 80's/90's adult trivia night will be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 from 6-10 at St. Elizabeth's of Hungary in Crestwood.  Stay tuned for further details!!!! If you'd like to help plan or gather donations please email Julie Tubbs
