From the District:

Dear Webster Groves Families,

School Districts across the state have been asked by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop plans for e-learning/remote learning should there be a need to close schools for an extended period of time due to weather or illness.

In an effort to assess the computing needs of all of our families, we ask that you fill out this short survey to determine what, if any, support the district can help provide should the decision to close schools for an extended period of time be made.

Our sincere hope is that we will not have to use any plan that is put in place.

Please fill out a separate survey for each school-aged child and respond to this survey by Thursday, March 12th.

Playground Committee Update:

WE NEED YOU!! The playground project has come to the next milestone in our progress of building a new inclusive playground at Hudson. On March 18 at 7:00pm at City Hall, we will be presenting our plan to partner with Rock Hill to the Parks and Recreations Board. This group will hopefully give the final approval from the city that they will commit to submitting the Municipal Parks grant in our name. As many of you know, this grant would cover up to 95% of the cost of our new playground. We need Hudson parents to attend this meeting to show the support of the community. It should take no longer than 30 minutes.

In preparation for this presentation and our upcoming presentations to the Board of Alderman and Board of Education, we also invite you to attend a “State of the Playground” meeting Wednesday, March 11 with the PTO meeting from 6:00-8:00pm in the library at Hudson. Come hear where we are and our next steps in the process.  We would love your feedback and questions. Pizza and babysitting will be available.  Please RSVP here:

We are always looking for additional members to the Playground committee as well. Please contact Jen Gruenenfelder ( or myself, Amelia Klueter (

Thank you,

Hudson Playground Committee

March Dine Out:

Mark your calendars for the next Hudson PTO Dine-Out on Thursday, 3/26 ALL DAY at El Indio Mexican Restaurant.

What better way to keep the spirit of spring break going but with tacos, fun beverages, and visiting with our Hudson community.  All while supporting our wonderful school.  Just remember to tell your server or at carry-out that you are part of the HUDSON Family and 10% of the total for the day will be donated back to help support our PTO!!

📲 Hudson PTO Social Media Explainer:

We wanted to do a quick explainer on our social media channels, so we wanted to mention that in addition to the large private group for all Hudson parents, we have specific groups for each grade, too.

The private group for new incoming K parents in August 2020 is
(All of the other grades' groups have the same link format, but just change the year in the link to the year that cohort of kids will graduate Hudson.)

PTO also has a public Facebook PTO page which is located here: (We share things there like events or posts where we can tag sponsors publicly or things that are more meant for a public audience and not just our parents)

Lastly, we have a PTO page on Twitter which is located at Follow us there if Twitter is your jam.
