The Circles All Around Us
The Circle Challenge
- Mail someone something they would never expect.
- Create a reason to bring people together!
- Interview a relative or neighbor. Ask them questions about their life and show you care by listening.
- Find someone who is doing good and help them. Help someone who is already helping others.
- Fill the world with thank you notes. Once you start looking for people to thank, you won’t be able to stop!
- Cheer someone on! Let them know what you love about who they are.
- Create encouraging bookmarks!
- Take some time to think about the people you care about. Then let them know how it made you feel.
- Be with someone. Just be with them. It’s a big deal.
- Spend an entire day just throwing out compliments to everyone and everything in your path!
- Draw something and share it with someone to let them know they’re loved.
- Organize a clean up party for your local park or area in your community that could use some love.

From the Hudson PTO
Hudson PTO Ice Cream Social:
This favorite Hudson ritual will be back this year! Join PTO and fellow Hudson families for a family social after school on Friday, September 9th from 3-4:30pm on the Hudson Playground. Adventure Club students will join the fun and all parents and students of Hudson are welcome to stop by for a cool treat and a chance to greet other families and usher in the new school year at Hudson.
Hudson PTO - 1st Meeting of the Year and Global Brew Parent Social
Hudson PTO will be having its first general meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 14th from 6:30-7:30pm on Zoom at this link: https://wustl.zoom.us/j/95887827187
We invite all parents to join us on Zoom for the conversation and meeting! This is a great way to find out opportunities to get involved.
Following the PTO Zoom meeting, we will host an open parents gathering at Global Brew from 8pm-10pm (still on September 14). All parents are welcome to come socialize and meet other parents. We'll gather at a front table at Global Brew. Cash bar.
Save the Date - Halloween Costume Parade
Hudson does a Halloween parade each year where all of the kids come to school with their costume on the day of the Halloween party. Right before the party, the classes all parade through the back parking lot where the parents line up to cheer them on. This happens around 1:45pm on the day of the parties which is on Halloween itself this year.
The kids have always enjoyed it and it's something that if you can make it happen with work and life schedules, is a great and fun event to attend. It doesn't take too long...they go through the parade and then back to their classes for the party, which you can attend to help at or donate items for (class parents will be in touch about that as party date gets closer), or you can head straight back to your car and return to your regularly scheduled activities. I'd say it takes 15 minutes tops. Just an FYI esp. for parents who need to ask off for work to be able to attend!
Save the Date: Hudson Fall Festival
Hudson's Fall Festival will happen this year at Royal Oak Park in Warson Woods on Friday, October 14th from 6-10pm. More details will follow. For now, just save the date!
