Let's Help Stock the Teacher/Staff Lounge!

Our fantastic Hudson Teachers are special to us and they are working hard to create a great environment for our kids! Please help the PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee stock the teacher/staff lounge so our teachers can have an easy spot to grab a drink or treat throughout the day, like coffee, tea, flavored waters, and snacks. We created an Amazon wishlist to make it easy to have things shipped directly to school.

Staff Favorite Things

Teacher and Staff Favorites List: Each year, PTO sends the teachers and staff at Hudson a survey so we can collect some ideas of their favorite things. This can be helpful for parents who want to treat our teachers at any time of the year, so we wanted to share the list with you all.


We encourage you to check out some of your teacher's favorites or look at when their birthday is to help us build a culture of small moments of teacher and staff appreciation throughout the building.

When completing the raptor application for this school year we are requiring you to complete the level 2 application. There are two key factors to ensure you have level 2 clearance, you have checked the level 2 boxes on the functions page (step 4) and you input your social security number on the disclaimer page of the application (step 6). If these two steps are not completed you will not have level 2 clearance and will not be able to participate in Hudson activities/field trips.

Teacher Raffle Items

The Teacher Raffle will be held at the Hudson PTO Fall Festival Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 27th at Royal Oak Park 6-8:30. Ticket pre-sale is open through this link: https://hudson-pto.square.site/ , or you can send cash or check to the office. Checks to be made to Hudson PTO. If you buy through the presale we will have an envelope with your name for ticket pick-up the night of the event. Tickets will also be available for purchase the night of the event.

If you are unable to attend the event the buckets will be available for students to drop tickets next week in the office. Email Caitlin Kirby caitlinkirby@att.net and let us know you need to drop your tickets in the buckets before the event.

 

We will draw the raffle winners at 8pm on the 27th under the pavilion.

Raptor Levels

Fall festival classroom celebrations are quickly approaching. If you want to take part in your child’s classroom celebration you must fill out the Raptor level 1 application at a minimum, however we encourage you to do level 2 (explanation below).

For field trips, we also need several parents to get level 2 certification so that we can put parents in charge of small groups of kids on the field trip. To attend a field trip, you only need level 1, but our teachers would like several level 2 volunteers for each field trip, so please do level 2 if you are willing to chaperone and assist the teacher with responsibility for a small group at the field trip.

Costume Drive

Lauren Knapp, a student member of the St Louis Aids Refugees Today club at Webster Groves High School, shared that they are holding a Halloween Costume drive. If you would like to donate any gently-used, cleaned costumes, you can bring them to the office by October 20th.
 

WG Parents' Advisory Group

Does your child have a 504 or an IEP? Then let’s meet!


No matter what level of support your child needs to achieve, we are stronger together! The purpose of the Parents Advisory Council is to support one another for our children to have an inclusive school experience.


For the 2023-24 school year, the Parents Advisory Council is scheduled to meet four times. Each meeting will consist of a topic and/or guest speaker and time to get to know one another. Feel free to bring in your own meal or snack.


Meetings will be on the following dates at Global Brew in Rock Hill on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

If you think your family qualifies for free and reduced meals, it’s important to apply for assistance. You can apply for Free and Reduced meals here.

 

You can deposit money in your child's meals account via credit/debit card here or by check or cash at your child's school.

 

 

 

Late Start Mondays

Beginning last school year, the Webster Groves School District added late start days to the school calendar.


Late start days will allow additional time for our teachers to use data and collaboratively plan to continue to address the needs of all of our students.


The schedule for late starts is below:

Late Start Supervision Program - 7:40am-8:50am

School Day Arrival Begins - 8:50am

School Begins - 9:05am


Families who need help with student supervision on late start days can participate in a program available at each building.


Beginning next week, the district will send out information for families to sign up for the late start supervision program.

 

Members of the Hudson staff will manage the Late Start Supervision Program. Families who participate in the morning Adventure Club Program will automatically be enrolled in the Late Start Supervision Program.

Select the name of the calendar you have just added. A check mark will appear next to it.
Click Done.
Events from this calendar will now display on your iPhone calendar.

Android Devices and Google Calendar
To subscribe using your Google Calendar:

Open your Google Calendar.
Locate Other Calendars on the left hand side of the screen toward the bottom.
Click the arrow to the right of Other Calendars.
Select Add by URL from the list.
Enter the subscription link (shown above) in the field. If you would like these events to be public, check the box next to Make the calendar publicly accessible.
Click Add Calendar.
Microsoft Outlook
To subscribe manually using Outlook 2010, 2016, or Outlook 365:
