WGHS Statesbots Black robotics team advanced to state on Saturday, placing third out of thirty six and winning awards in design and engineering. Congratulations!!
Attention juniors applying to be in NHS: your applications are due by Wednesday at 3:00pm, including your teacher recommendations. No late applications will be accepted, so make sure you turn yours in to Ms. Rowland on time.
All Write Artists are encouraged to visit room 198 after school on TUESDAYs. We will have open studio for you to access materials, artistic expertise and a creative community.
Eat a crepe and help raise money for a local women’s shelter. $1 only! Tomorrow (Tuesday, February 12) during both lunches. Located at the junior entrance.
This Wednesday, February 13 at the jazz concert, Webster Feeds is having a "light drive". They are also planning a "miracle minute" to collect cash. Please bring in “light” items (no cans for this event please):

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, The Interact Club will be selling Candy Gram Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during both lunches this week. All proceeds will go to Dignity Period.
The Vegan and Vegetarian club will be selling cupcakes on Thursday, February 14 with proceeds going to the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation. Sales will be at the Senior entrance in the morning and the junior entrance during lunches. Each cupcake is $1.
Student Council is hosting a blood drive on Thursday, Feb. 21st in the secondary gym. You must be 17 or older to donate blood. If you are 16, you can donate with a parent permission slip. If you haven’t signed up to donate yet, stop by Mrs. Cole’s room (350) to sign up! Thanks for helping to save lives with your donation!
Attention seniors, there will be an open meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 or after school at 2:40 in Mrs. Maedge's room 228 B to discuss the 2019 prom. Please come with your ideas about theme, music, food, souvenirs, and decorations.
Seniors, cap and gown orders are due by February 18th. If you are attending graduation and planning on walking, please make sure you have submitted your order and payment of $29 to Ms. Cotner at the main office. If you have any questions, please see her.
Seniors: Time is running out to submit your local scholarship applications. Parents’ Club applications are due by Thursday, and all others by Friday. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted! Please see Mrs. Erb in the main office with any questions.
CLUB / STUCO MEETINGS
- Video Game Club meets on Monday’s in room 395 from 2:45-4:00.
- Pep Club meets on Tuesdays, 7:25 a.m., in room 276.
- The Vegetarian and Vegan Club meets every Tuesday at 7:30am in room 380.
- Art club will meet Tuesdays from 2:35-4pm in room 190.
- Scholar Bowl practice Tuesday afternoon starting at 2:45 in room 200 Chelsea Center.
- Tri-M will be meeting after school today in the Orchestra Room.
- Yearbook Photography Club will have a brief meeting tomorrow (Tuesday the 12th) after school in Ms. Keane’s Room, # 222. Snacks will be provided and new members are welcome.
- Chess Club meets on Wednesday after school in room 356.
- Student Council meets every other Wednesday before and after school in the PV Commons, (next meeting is February 20th).

It’s time for the Webster Challenge College Bus Tour. This year we will be traveling with Kirkwood High School to Washington D.C. March 14th -20th to visit colleges and universities along with visiting historical sites. If you would like more information regarding this college bus tour, please stop by office 157.
