STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Final exams are scheduled for May 21-24.  Students will not take finals in Academic Lab, student assistant periods, Peer Tutoring, or Study Hall.  A 90-minute final exam will occur in all other classes.  On May 21, everyone is expected to be in attendance, as it is a special schedule.  On May 22-24, you should not be in the building if you do not have an exam or are not studying in Academic Lab; otherwise, you will be assigned to a supervised study hall.  Activity buses are for athletes only.  Everyone else should promptly exit the building.  Students are also prohibited from going to Hixson.

 

The library hours will be extended to provide a quiet environment to prep for finals:

Thursday, May 16: 5:30pm

Friday, May 17: 4:30pm

Next Monday, May 20 5:30pm

 

It’s Wellness Week and we have taste testing of fresh fruits and vegetables going on at both lunches today. If you choose to participate you will have a chance to win one of three Smoothie King gift certificates. Look for the Taste Test Challenge in the cafeteria!

 

Attention Ac Lab students:  If you are currently in Ac Lab 10-12 or have enrolled in Ac Lab 10-12 for the 19-20 school year, please check your student email account for a link to a short survey.  We appreciate your feedback.

 

Attention students interested in being a Camp Wyman counselor for next year please stop by the activities office to pick up an application!

 

Students still looking for A+ hours?  Camp Invention is looking for students 9th-12th to help make their camp successful.  For more information, please see Mrs. Winkelmann in Office 157.

 

If you received a 3.8 or higher gpa for 1st semester, please see Mrs. Cotner in the Main Office to pick up your free Cardinal tickets voucher.

CLUB / STUCO MEETINGS

MONDAY

- Video Game Club meets on Monday’s in room 395 from 2:45-4:00. Last meeting will be May 20th.

THURSDAY

- History Club will have their last meeting this Thursday (May 16th) morning at 7:25 in Chelsea Center room 200.

- Anime Club will have their last meeting Thursday (May 16th) after school until 3:30pm in the PD Room by Jr Entrance.

- The Mindful Eating Club meets on Thursday’s after school from 2:40-3:15 in room 206.

- The Creative Writing Club meets every Thursday after school in Room 334A.

  

FRIDAY

Tea club meets Friday morning in 272.  All are welcome. Last meeting is May 24th.

- Economics Club meets every Friday after school in room 357.

ATHLETIC

Anyone interested in playing football in the fall, there will be a meeting today in the cafeteria at 2:45.

 

Any boys’ interested in playing soccer in the fall needs to meet in Coach Perkins room after school today for a brief meeting. Meeting will start at 3:00. 

 

TODAY’S ATHLETIC EVENTS:

Girls Varsity Soccer MSHSAA District Tournament vs. Rockwood Summit, 6:00 @ Summit. Admission is $5.00.

Boys Varsity Volleyball District Tournament, 7:00 @ Chaminade. Admission is $5.00.

 

Varsity Boys Lacrosse moves on to round 2 of the Show Me Cup Playoffs with a 16-5 win over Parkway South last night.  Next round at Westminster Thursday 5:30pm.  Great job boys, go Chucks!

 

YESTERDAY’S REPORTED RESULTS:

Boys Golf MSHSAA State Tournament, Silo Ridge Golf & CC. Good Luck to Drew Schwager and Will Ireland!! With much more influential winds and fast greens, the field had their work cut out for them today.  Individual medalist was from Glendale and team champs were Jackson. Will finished T-46 after shooting 82-80 and Drew finished T-77 with an 81-89. Great 3 days of golf to end a very solid season for the WG golfers!
