STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Final exams are scheduled tomorrow through Friday.  Students will not take finals in Academic Lab, student assistant periods, Peer Tutoring, or Study Hall.  A 90-minute final exam will occur in all other classes.  Tomorrow everyone is expected to be in attendance, as it is a special schedule.  Wednesday through Friday, you should not be in the building if you do not have an exam or are not studying in Academic Lab; otherwise, you will be assigned to a supervised study hall.  Activity buses are for athletes only.  Everyone else should promptly exit the building.  Students are also prohibited from going to Hixson.

 

Library hours are extended today until 5:30 today to provide a quiet environment to prep for finals.

 

Beginning today the library will start checking out Summer reading books to students that have no other checkouts or fines.

 

Attention, any student that wishes to play college sports. We will have an informational meeting today in Roberts Gym during both lunches…… so grab your lunch and head up to Roberts Gym.

 

Attention students interested in being a Camp Wyman counselor for next year please stop by the activities office to pick up an application!

YESTERDAY’S REPORTED RESULTS:

Boys and Girls Varsity Track MSHSAA Sectional Meet, 9:00am @ Hillsboro HS. Congratulations to the @WGWOMENSTRACK team on placing 1st in the overall standings at today sectional meet! The @WGWOMENSTRACK 4x400 relay team placed 1st with a strong anchor leg by Angelina Arinze! #statequalifier Congratulations to Emma Kelley on placing 3rd in the 800! #statequalifier The @WGWOMENSTRACK 4x400 relay team placed 1st with a strong anchor leg by Angelina Arinze! #statequalifier Congratulations to Emma Kelley on placing 3rd in the 800! #statequalifier Angelina Arinze ran a 43.82 to win the 300 hurdles and qualify for state! @WGWOMENSTRACK Eliza Maupin match her personal and school record again today in the high jump at 5’6” to with the sectional championship and qualify for the state meet! A couple more state qualifiers for @WGWOMENSTRACK as the 4x200 relay placed 4th and so did Nia Lyles in the discus.

Charlie Teeter is a #statequalifier in the 3200! Another #statequalifier for @wghstf. Congratulations to Cole Schnettgoecke on qualifying in the shot put! David Buckley qualifies for STATE in 800 with a 3rd place finish. Sam Getz qualifies for State in 1600! 3rd place in a smart and tactical race.

 

Boys Varsity Volleyball State Tournament beat Parkway West in two sets and advance to the final four Tuesday @ WGHS. We have received a very generous private donation in honor of Coach Buckley that will pay for the admission of the first 100 students to cheer on the Statesmen Tuesday night in their Final Four match vs. Mehlville.
