STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Announce on Fridays prior to late start Mondays.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH IS A LATE START!

Reminder we have a late start schedule on Monday. Students will miss two class periods to accommodate time for teachers to meet in their PLC.  All late start days will begin at 8:57am and two class periods will be dropped. The building opens at 8:00 and students should enter through the senior entrance. If students arrive between 8:00-8:30 they need to stay in the cafeteria and library. After 8:30 students may enter the building through the junior, senior or Roberts Gym entrances.

 

All summer reading books are due Friday September 6th. Please return them to the library.

Students: please turn in your Summer Reading forms this week to be recognized and receive small gift.

 

Join the Cheerleaders and Pep Club this Friday at 7:30 A.M. in Roberts Gym to learn our student section cheers! All are welcome!

 

If you’re a Freshmen interested in joining Pep Club, see Mr. Smith in room 204 or room 280 to get connected!

 

We elected officers for Athletic Training Club this morning. It was a tight race, here are the winners.

Attention students interested in being a Camp Wyman counselor for this fall that picked up an application at registration; please turn that into the activities office as soon as possible. You can still stop by the activities office to pick up an application if you have not already.

CLUB / STUCO MEETINGS

MONDAY

- FCCLA is now the Culinary Club. We will be having our first cooking event next Monday, September 9th. Please come ready to cook. You will need your membership fee and closed toed shoes. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Meadge or Ms. Shea.

- Magic the Gathering Club will meet on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 2:45-3:45 in room 291.

 

TUESDAY

- Art Club meets every Tuesday after school in room 190. 

- Join the Cycling Club each Tuesday morning, at 7:30 in room 358.

 

WEDNESDAY

- Amnesty International meets every Wednesday at 730 a.m. in 272.

- Magic the Gathering Club will meet on Wednesday’s and Monday’s from 2:45-3:45 in room 291.

 

 

THURSDAY

-  Steampunk Club is having their meeting today (Thursday) after school in Room 385.

- The Yearbook Photography Club has been rescheduled for today (Thursday, September 5th) after school in room 334E (yearbook room).

- History Club will meet today Thursday morning at 7:25 in room 276. Bring a friend and come for bagels. We will be planning 9/11 activities and will discuss plans for the rest of the year.

- Know a lot about one thing or know a little about a lot of things? Would you like to have fun competing in jeopardy-type tournaments with a team? Come find out about WGHS Scholar Bowl teams today (Thursday) after school in room 276. See Mrs. Burchett if you have questions.

- Our first Interact Club meeting was planned to happen on Tuesday. We are postponing the meeting to today (Thursday, September 5th) at 7:15am in room 159.
