 Webster Groves is looking for military veteran’s to join us on Thursday, November 7TH. If you know a military veteran and you think they may be interested in joining us, please see Mr. Verstraete in room 282 for further details.

Attention juniors and seniors: check your school Google mail for information about the NHS blood drive next Tuesday.  There is a link in the email to sign up.  Contact Ms. Rowland with any questions.

 

Ticket presale for the Mr. Webster Pageant starts today, November 4th. Presale ticket prices are $5 for students/kids and $7 for adults. This is a great opportunity to save 2 to 3 dollars versus purchasing tickets the night of the event. You can purchase tickets in the activities office and main office before or after school and during both lunches. Thanks!

 

Students as the weather turns colder, please remember that hoodies are not to be worn with the hood up.  We appreciate your cooperation.  

 

Webster Challenge is sponsoring the annual college bus tour. The bus tour will visit Atlanta Georgia. Students will have an opportunity to visit Spelman and Morehouse College and Georgia Tech University. In addition, students will have an opportunity to visit many historical cultural sites. If you would like more information about this unique opportunity please stop by office 157.

 

SENIORS

The senior panoramic picture was taken last week. If you would like to order a copy there are order forms in the main office and activities office. Orders are due back Friday, November 8th.

 

Seniors, did you miss the yearbook deadlines? Baby photos and senior quotes will be accepted for a few more days. Get yours turned in before it is too late!

 

CLUB / STUCO MEETINGS

MONDAY

- Magic the Gathering Club will meet on Monday’s from 2:45-3:45 in room 291.

- Video Game Club is cancelled for today.

 

TUESDAY

- Art Club meets every Tuesday after school in room 190. 

- Join the Cycling Club each Tuesday morning, at 7:30 in room 358.

- Scholar Bowl will practice after school on Tuesday’s in room 276.

- Yearbook photography club will meet Tuesday after school in Room 222.

 

WEDNESDAY

- Amnesty International meets every Wednesday at 730 a.m. in 272.

- Magic the Gathering Club will meet on Wednesday’s from 2:45-3:45 in room 291.

- Speak-Up meets in the Chelsea Center every Wednesday after school. Everyone is welcome.

- Back Trap Yoga meets on Wednesdays at 11:20 and 12:20 for both lunches in Roberts Gym. Sign up with Ms. Hill in the counseling room!

 

THURSDAY

- Sign Language Club meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 in room 330. No prior knowledge needed.

 

FRIDAY

- Speak-Up meets in the Chelsea Center every Friday before school. Everyone is welcome.

ATHLETIC

Winter sports are approaching: basketball and wrestling begin on Monday, November 4 and girls swim on Monday, November 11. You must have a physical on file in order to try-out. Stop by the activities office if you would like to check.

 

Congratulations to the Boys’ Cross Country team as they qualified for the Cross Country State Championships this past weekend!  The boys placed 3rd overall and Charlie Teeter led the team with a 2nd place finish overall!  The boys will race at State on Saturday, 11/2 @ 12:05pm in Columbia!!!

 

Student sport passes are available in the activities office for $40.00, the pass includes admission to all regular season home games and a t-shirt!!

 

Boys’ volleyball will have an open gym every Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 in Roberts Gym.

Interested in serving senior citizens in our community?  The Shepherd’s Center is looking for volunteers for an event this fall and for help throughout the year with raking, weeding, and maintaining the lawns of seniors in Webster Groves and Kirkwood.  If you or your team are looking for a service opportunity, pop into the Chelsea Center in Room 200 to sign up!
