Brandy Koppel named new Edgar Road assistant principal
Brandy Koppel has been approved as the new assistant principal at Edgar Road School, effective July 1, 2023.
Ms. Koppel began her career as a third-grade teacher in the Mehlville School District, where she developed a strong foundation in fostering student growth and academic success. Currently, Ms. Koppel serves as a fifth-grade teacher in the Lindbergh School District, where she has consistently demonstrated exemplary teaching practices and was recently honored as the Lindbergh School District's Teacher of the Year.
Known for her passion for creating a positive learning environment and her commitment to supporting teachers' professional development, Ms. Koppel is well-versed in various educational approaches. She possesses a deep understanding of professional learning communities, restorative practices, and has proven expertise in leading professional development sessions focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ms. Koppel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Lindenwood University, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Maryville University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the same institution.
